Guilt free giving!

Concerned about giving a "fattening" gift? Worry no more! Now you can accompany your gift with a certificate that makes it calorie-neutral: we have a store-house of unused calorie credits to draw from - or you can send us an e-mail with the calories you have expended to support your gift. We will send you a certificate, made out to your recipient, acknowledging the efforts, and making the gift CalorieNeutral.

What is OK Calorie Offsets?

OK Calorie Offsets ensures that you can provide your friends calorie-neutral gifts: we provide the proof that the calories in the food they receive from you have been expended already. Our role is to aggregate expended (and unreplaced) calories, and provide the certificate.

This site has several functions:

to provide indulgences - a clean conscience, while indulging yourself or your friends and family - a fun addition to an edible gift.
to provide a storehouse for "unused" calories when you exercise, and motivate you to exercise today in order to indulge yourself (or a friend!) another day;
enable you to share stories about the best way for you, your teams, groups and others to contribute and draw down calories.
poke some fun at the notion of offsets. While the idea of ensuring that total carbon / obesity / pollution levels are lowered is good, in practice offsets ensure that people can salve their consciences without changing behaviours in a meaningful way.
